How to join the tournament broadcast with your phone

Sometimes the tournaments do not broadcast all the boards. For example, only the first 20. It can be sad and unfair to play on the 21st board and not get a recording of the game. To avoid this situation, bring idChess with you and join the tournament.

How to do this? By agreement with the organizer, you can set your phone with the idChess app. You can join the tournament broadcast on the website live.idchess.com instead of a single game. The broadcast of your board will be available with other boards in the tournament.

Instruction on connecting the tournament

How to join the tournament broadcast with your phone

Turn on the flight mode on your phone and open the idChess app. In the lower menu, tap Record.

In the Tournament tab, choose optionally Video Recording (VAR). This requires additional space of the phone storage. At the end of the game, you will be able to rewatch the record and share it with the coach. Tap Connect.

Fill out the tournament information in the pop-up window:
• Tournament connection code—required field. Ask the organizer for the code;
• Board number. Write the number of the board you’re playing. You need to write this number again for each round;
• Password. If there’s a password, ask the organizer for it.

Insert the phone into the tripod above the chessboard and start the game. Good luck!
